Introduction
A leading workplace design specialist, with over 800 locations across 120 cities. Our client provides coworking and flexible shared workspaces for start-ups and enterprises. As well as designing these spaces and tailoring them to meet specific requirements. We were approached by them to design and install a range of audio-visual systems at a new site in Singapore.
Once again our Singapore team have risen to the challenge and brought the ‘wow factor’ to our clients Events Space. Further to this, they have delivered an enhanced, easy-to-use audio distribution system and upgraded 13 meeting rooms – all whilst being mindful of total expenditure. | ||

The Requirement
The site is spread across 3 floors with 13 meeting rooms of varying sizes and a large Event Space for presentations, staff and client entertainment. One of the key requirements of this project was to upgrade the background music system which distributed audio to all areas. There were further requirements to upgrade the technology in all meeting spaces as well as delivering an enhanced experience in the Event Space.
The background music system needed to deliver an optimal audio performance in all areas of the building, including corridors and restrooms, as well as meeting and event spaces. To ensure this was the case, Cinos redesigned the system to not only deliver optimal audio in all spaces, but to give Event Coordinators ease of control, all whilst being mindful of total expenditure.
The Solution
Multi floor and event space audio visual system
As part of the overhaul, new amplifiers and speakers were installed across the floors to offer increased flexibility, performance, and control. Sitting at the heart of the system is the Harman BLU-100 signal processor. Offering a fixed configuration of 12 inputs and 8 outputs, the BLU-100 accepts audio sources (such as inbound streaming, microphone audio and individual floor sources) and distributes to individual amplifiers.
To ensure ease of use and control, Cinos integrated an iPod into the solution allowing the Events Management Team to control the system from one device. With a few simple commands, the clients Event Coordinators can control the volume on any floor and push any audio source (including microphones) to any or all zones. Cinos also ensured that in the event of an alarm activation the background music system will automatically mute.
Event space audio video control system
The Event Space is the focal point of the site and is used for presentations and entertainment. To bring the ‘wow factor’ to this space, Cinos installed an NEC LCD projector and a 120” projector screen. As well as integrating an AMX Presentation Switcher into this space, Cinos designed a AV control system that can perform multiple commands from a single wireless user interface including:
Meeting room wireless displays and collaboration technology
To ensure the clients co-workers would have a positive experience in one of the thirteen meeting rooms, Cinos installed UHD displays and delivered wireless presentation capabilities to each room. Depending on the room size, the displays vary in size from 49” to 65” and with an easy-to-use wireless presentation system, users can confidently get their content on screen for the rest of the team to collaborate on.
