The Requirement
Offering a range of financial advisory services such as fund management, this purpose-driven investment organisation understood the importance of easy to use and frictionless communications with its customers. The client had a legacy Polycom estate that no longer met business objectives and users were gaining little value from the functionality of the ageing equipment.
Cinos was commissioned to provide a solution that replaced the Polycom RealPresence Group codecs with a new and easy to use solution. One that would standardise the video conferencing experience across the meeting and boardrooms in all regional offices and deliver high-quality audio and video. From the outset of the project, it was clear that any technology solutions would need to compliment the client’s personalised approach and deliver a collaborative environment for face-to-face meetings and for those needing to participate remotely.
The Solution
Following expert consultancy from Cinos, it was agreed that a Poly based Zoom Rooms solution would best fulfil the business requirements. The client had previous experience with Poly and together with Zoom Rooms, this solution offered a consistent user experience and the desired high-quality audio and video. From internal, more relaxed style meeting areas to traditional boardrooms and client facing meeting spaces, the solution was easy to replicate across a range of rooms, differing in size and purpose. As a Zoom Rooms certified integration partner, Cinos installed Poly TC8 touch panels in each meeting space, enabling employees to simply join Zoom meetings with the touch of a button and personalise the experience for more productive meetings.
The scope of each deployment varied between offices. Poly Studio X50 video conferencing bars were chosen for smaller meeting spaces due to their compact all-in-one form factor and impressive out-of-the-box functionality. With high quality audio and advanced camera capabilities, employees and guests benefit from an immersive meeting experience with the ability to share content wirelessly from any personal device – with no requirement for special apps or tools.
For the larger boardroom spaces and meeting rooms, Cinos deployed Poly G7500 Zoom Room video conferencing systems. The ultra-HD 4K displays deliver clarity when sharing content and again it offers users a simplified experience by combining video conferencing and content sharing in one solution. To create a rich audio experience, Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling 2 microphone arrays were installed alongside Crestron AMP-X300 amplifiers and Extron ceiling tile speakers.

The project initially begun at the client’s headquarters in Stockholm, where Cinos provided Poly based Zoom Rooms in 46 meeting spaces across two floors. The success of this project led to deployments in Milan, Zurich and New York, with future implementations scheduled for the APAC region. To date, as a trusted partner, Cinos has installed Poly based Zoom Rooms in over 60 spaces across the entire organisation. |
