Managed, dedicated or hybrid cloud services

Cinos are a certified VMware Cloud Provider Partner. We have built an Enterprise grade cloud powered by VMware and Cisco technologies.

VMware Enterprise Cloud

Our cloud is designed around standard technologies to allow you to move your on-premise workloads with the minimum of risk. Our cloud is located in two geographically dispersed UK locations, Manchester and London which are connected by a highly available, high-capacity backbone. Customer environments are built as virtual private data centres and can be connected to the Internet, private WAN, HSCN, Azure ExpressRoute and AWS Direct Connect or any combination of these networks as required.

If you are seeking professional guidance for your project and would prefer to speak directly with an expert, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Our team are on hand to discuss your requirements so why not get the ball rolling today.

Cinos’ 3 flavours of Enterprise Cloud

VMware Enterprise Cloud - Managed Private Cloud

Managed Private Cloud

With our managed private cloud your workloads run on our main multi-tenant cloud platform. This platform is designed for low contention and high performance whilst allowing the costs benefits of using shared infrastructure.

VMware Enterprise Cloud - Dedicated Private Cloud

Dedicated Private Cloud

This is your own version of our private cloud dedicated for your use to enable maximum control over the infrastructure performance and compliance characteristics.

VMware Enterprise Cloud - Hybrid Cloud

Hybrid Cloud

With our hybrid cloud offering we can extend the benefits of our managed cloud offering into your on-premise environment by deploying a scaled down version of a dedicated cloud within your datacentre.

Benefits of private cloud

  • Total system control:
A private cloud offers total system control and increased security through dedicated hardware and physical infrastructure that’s used exclusively by the contracted customer.

  • Greater performance:
Because the hardware is dedicated and not used by any other organisation, workload performance for cloud services is never affected by another company running resource-intensive workloads on a shared server or by a public cloud service outage.

  • Long-term cost savings:
While it can be expensive to set up the infrastructure to support a private cloud, it can pay off in the long term. A private cloud can be much more cost-effective compared to paying monthly fees to use someone else’s servers on the public cloud.

  • Scalability:
If an organisation outgrows its existing hardware resources, it can easily add more. If the growth is temporary or seasonal, an organisation can move to a hybrid cloud solution, incurring minimal usage fees by using the public cloud only when necessary.

  • Predictable costs:
In addition, the costs of using a public cloud can be very unpredictable. With a private cloud, costs are the same each month, regardless of the workloads an organisation is running.

  • Better customisation:
Because companies have complete control over a private cloud, it is much easier to reallocate resources and tailor the cloud to perform specifically according to requirements that the company defines. IT managers have access to every level of settings in their private cloud environment, they are not limited by policies set by public cloud service providers.

Benefits of hybrid cloud

  • Security and regulatory compliance:
Reserve behind-the firewall private cloud resources for sensitive data and highly regulated workloads and use more economical public cloud resources for less-sensitive workloads and data.
  • Rapid adoption of new technology:
Adopt or switch to the latest software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution, and even integrate those solutions into existing applications, without provisioning new on-premises infrastructure.

  • Enhancing legacy applications:
Use public cloud services to improve the user experience of existing apps or to extend them to new devices.

  • VMware migration:
‘Lift and shift’ existing on-premises workloads to virtualised public cloud infrastructure, to reduce the on-premises data centre footprint and scales as needed without additional capital equipment investment.

  • Resource optimisation and cost savings:
Run workloads with predictable capacity on private cloud and migrate more variable workloads to public cloud; use public cloud infrastructure to quickly ‘spin up’ development and test resources as needed.
