Cinos Mobile
An Interview with Dan Worman
Earlier in the year, Dan posted on LinkedIn that ‘our Cinos Mobile service is a gamechanger for the mobile workforce.’ There is no doubt that this is the case and with a bit of persuasion from our Head of Marketing, Dan sat down to give us a greater insight into the Cinos Mobile offering and the benefits it will bring to our customer base.
Dan explains how as an established Mobile Network Virtual Operator (MNVO), Cinos are able to provide mobile connectivity solutions and services as part of our wider Managed Services portfolio. He describes what sets us apart from other MNVOs and outlines why Fixed-Mobile Convergence is an interesting and exciting proposition for our customers.

Fixed-Mobile Convergence (FMC)
Present a professional appearance when calling from any device, including mobile
As an option our mobile capability can include FMC. This means a user working from home may present their business number when calling from any device, including directly from a mobile phone.
FMC works hand in hand with our unified communications and collaboration services to provide true on-net calling between IP Phones, soft clients (including Microsoft Teams, Cisco Jabber and Webex), and mobile phones, without the need for additional software on the mobile device.
Native convergence means that any FMC enabled user can make internal extension calls, including to critical internal services, for example 2222, by simply calling the number from their mobile handset. Conversely, any calls to either the user’s extension (including DDI) or mobile number may be answered on any device, including the IP Phone or soft client.
As all calls flow though our core network, we can provide additional services on calls made or received on mobile devices, such as full call accounting and call recording. Users can make full use of the telephony services provided by our unified communications service too, including call handoff, centralised directory, unified voicemail, as well as telephony functions including call park and pickup.
Packages
We have a standard set of offers that can easily be procured, or we can create bespoke packages, tailored to meet the exact business requirements. In addition, we can offer data only SIMs to support remote working and IoT.

Mobile Coverage Solutions
Cinos partners with Freshwave, leading network service provider and specialists in mobile coverage solutions.
Freshwave provide indoor and outdoor mobile (or ‘digital’) infrastructure which supports network services to businesses, central government, and local authorities. They support 2000+ connected buildings, 200+ outdoor networks and 6,400 mast friendly site locations.
These mobile network services are based upon operator approved technology, with every design and customer installation individually approved by all relevant mobile operators.
Reliable in-building mobile connectivity is becoming an essential customer experience, with people now making more than 80% of their calls indoors. And Freshwave are expert at designing, installing and managing dedicated inbuilding networks for buildings large and small, or even just within the public or landlord areas of a building as needed.
In 2015, Freshwave pioneered a multi-operator small cell solution, which can deliver premium voice and high-speed data connections no matter which of the four UK mobile network operators your mobile service is with. Working directly with Vodafone, O2, EE and Three, they use the operator’s assigned frequencies, approved technology and bespoke service level agreements to extend their networks into your building, with a guaranteed quality of service.
The technology connects directly to each UK operators’ network and works independently their respective outdoor macro network. This architecture ensures service resiliency and delivers another layer of connectivity should other wireless connectivity, like WiFi, go down for any reason.
