As we entered the Europa Entrance of the Amsterdam RAI we could not miss the hugely impressive Crestron stand where the latest technology was being showcased. The Cinos team caught up with our Account Manager, Craig Storey, who took us through the latest developments.

One of the stand out products, and one we look forward to working with, was the Next Generation Skype for Business Meeting Room System. Working in partnership with Microsoft, Crestron have natively integrated Skype for Business with their AV and room control solutions to deliver a collaborative system which is ideal for enterprise meeting rooms, huddle spaces and boardrooms.
To further enhance their meeting room offering, Crestron used ISE to unveil Crestron Mercury; dubbed the game changing meeting room solution. This sleek table-top unit offers audio and web conferencing and is fully compatible with major SIP-compliant phone systems. Users can pair their mobile phone with Mercury, which then appear automatically on the multi-touch screen. Further functionality includes the built in AirMedia gateway allowing wireless presentation from a laptop, smartphone or tablet with an HDMI output to connect to an HD display or projector.
For meeting spaces and classrooms where a more cost-effective presentation solution is required, the HD-MD-400-C-E is an attractive option. The system is composed of a transmitter and receiver pair which allows a mobile or laptop to be connected to one of three inputs and routes the signal to a display or projector up to 230 feet away. With built-in scaling, automatic operation and the need for no special coding, the HD Scaling Auto-Switcher & Extender 400 solution delivers great functionality at an attractive price point.
Away from meeting spaces and onto networked AV, Craig took us through another ISE debutant – the new Crestron DigitalMedia NVX Series. This impressive solution requires only DM NVX Encoders and Decoders to provide an infinitely scalable networked AV solution; from a simple point-to-point set-up to delivering content to thousands of endpoints. Furthermore, the next-generation DigitalMedia™ technology enables the transmission of 4K60 4:4:4 HDR video over standard 1 Gigabit Ethernet without any latency – an industry first.
On the stand, Crestron’s latest room scheduling system caught our eye; partly due to the bright LED lights which demonstrate room availability. The award-winning Crestron Scheduling Touch Screens are mounted on the wall outside each room allowing participants to see availability at a glance and book impromptu meetings if required. Further integration with popular email clients ensures that booking meeting spaces is simple and convenient.
With so much technology on show at the Crestron stand it would be impossible to mention all the highlights. However, if there is anything you would like more information on please get in touch using one of the contact methods on this page and our team will be happy to help.
