Cinos Mobile: An Interview with Dan Worman

Last month we caught up with Dan Worman, Executive Director at Cinos to discuss the Cinos Mobile Managed Service.

Earlier in the year, Dan posted on LinkedIn that ‘our Cinos Mobile service is a gamechanger for the mobile workforce.’ There is no doubt that this is the case but getting Dan to sit in front of a camera and discuss this key managed service offering was certainly a challenge.
However, I am known for my excellent persuasion techniques and with a few bribes and the promise not to do this again for at least 3 months, Dan did indeed sit down to give us a greater insight into the Cinos Mobile offering and the benefits it will bring to our customer base.
The growth of Cinos
To give a brief background, Cinos was formed in 2007 and we established ourselves as a specialist systems integrator. Whilst our early history focussed on delivering world-class AV installations, we knew we could not stop there. In 2015 Dan joined Cinos with a vision. By capitalising on the convergence of AV and IT technologies, Dan wanted to develop the services we offer and position Cinos as a single, trusted partner who can help organisations navigate an ever-changing landscape in a world where collaboration and communications technologies are becoming much more prevalent.
Whether doing video interviews was also a part of this vision is open for debate.
Introducing Cinos Mobile
Fast forward to 2021 and it is fair to say he was on to something. Today Cinos are seen as an agile and innovate technology provider whose strong heritage in AV has provided the foundation to invest in the experience and extensive expertise needed to deliver Connectivity, Infrastructure and Collaboration solutions to our customers in both the private and public sector.
The value of Fixed-Mobile Convergence (FMC)
So, in our first of many (hopefully) video shorts, Dan explains how as an established Mobile Network Virtual Operator (MNVO), Cinos are able to provide mobile services as part of our wider Managed Services portfolio. He describes what sets us apart from other MNVOs and outlines why Fixed-Mobile Convergence (FMC) is an interesting and exciting proposition for our customers:
Where our mobile service becomes really interesting is when we go into the realms Fixed-Mobile Convergence (FMC). FMC or native FMC in our case enables our mobile service to be converged with our unified communications services and this can be based on our array of enterprise UC which is powered by Cisco, into Webex Calling or existing customer arrangements around unified communications estates. | ||
